1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide better services to all our users. The types of information we collect include:

• Automatically Collected Information: When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, device information, and pages visited.
• Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our service and hold certain information.
• Voluntary Information: Personal data you provide to us voluntarily, such as when you sign up for newsletters or contact us (e.g., email address).

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising

Google Analytics

4. Our Mobile App

The Goals app for Android has no accounts, no sign-in and no advertising SDKs. It collects only what it needs to work, plus optional anonymous usage and crash data that you can switch off:

• A random device identifier.Generated on your phone the first time the app runs and stored in its secure storage. It is not derived from your phone's hardware or advertising ID, and it is used only to tie your followed clubs and alert settings to your install.
• Followed clubs and alert settings. When you follow a club, we store the club, which alert types you want (goals, full highlights) and your platform, keyed by that identifier.
• A push notification token.If you allow notifications, the app sends us an Expo push token so we can alert you about the clubs you follow. Notifications are delivered through Expo's push service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.
• Your approximate country. Worked out from your IP address when the app asks which highlight videos can play where you are. It is not stored.
• Anonymous usage and crash data (optional). Collected through Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics). Usage data is which screens and features are used, for example opening a match, playing a clip or searching; for a search we record only how long the query was, never what you typed. Crash reports include the app version, your phone model and Android version, and technical details of the crash. Firebase also assigns your install its own identifier, which is separate from the device identifier above, and we do not link the two. We never include scores, results or clip titles. This is on by default; turn it off in Settings under “Share anonymous usage and crash data”. Usage data stops straight away. For crash reports the change takes full effect the next time the app starts.

Settings such as language and spoiler-free mode stay on your phone. Videos play from their original hosts (for example YouTube), whose own privacy policies apply while you watch.

We do not sell this data or share it with anyone for their own use, and we do not use it for advertising. Firebase processes the usage and crash data on our behalf, under Google's privacy terms for Firebase. Unfollowing a club deletes its record. To delete everything, unfollow every club in the Alerts tab, or contact us and we will remove all data for your install. Uninstalling the app stops notifications; the remaining records are deleted on request. Usage and crash data is not tied to those records; switching off the setting above stops further collection.

5. Cookies & Consent

We use cookies to enhance your experience. You can accept or reject cookies using the cookie banner displayed on your first visit. Essential cookies are always active as they are necessary for the website to function. Analytics and advertising cookies are only enabled if you consent to them.

6. GDPR Data Protection Rights

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

• The right to access – You have the right to request copies of your personal data.
• The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.
• The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

7. CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

Under the CCPA, among other rights, California consumers have the right to:

• Request that a business that collects a consumer's personal data disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal data that a business has collected about consumers.
• Request that a business delete any personal data about the consumer that a business has collected.
• Request that a business that sells a consumer's personal data, not sell the consumer's personal data.

8. Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

Football Goals Highlights does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
