Sir Harry Redknapp makes film debut in “Halftime Hero”

According to Mirror Football, Sir Harry Redknapp – the iconic former West Ham United manager now aged 79 – will make his first on‑screen appearance in the upcoming film “Halftime Hero”. The movie centres on the famous incident when Redknapp removed a "mouthy" supporter from the terraces and handed the player’s shirt to him.

Redknapp’s cameo sees him playing a market stall‑holder hawking traditional jellied eels and cockles to fans, a brief but memorable nod to the East London setting of the story. The scene is set during a halftime break, linking the food‑stall atmosphere with the on‑pitch drama that unfolded that day.

The former manager’s involvement adds a nostalgic touch for West Ham supporters, many of whom still recall the episode that has become part of club folklore. Readers can find related match highlights on this site while awaiting the film’s release.
