Al‑Nassr supporters rally behind Ronaldo after Portugal suspension

Cristiano Ronaldo made his first club appearance after the highly publicised walk‑out during Portugal’s international fixtures, taking the field for Al‑Nassr amid a charged atmosphere at the King Saud University Stadium.

According to Mirror Football, the response from the home crowd was overwhelmingly supportive. Fans chanted the Portuguese star’s name, waved banners and used social media to stress that the suspension had not altered their view of his contributions to the Saudi club.

The reaction underscores the distinction many supporters make between a player’s national‑team issues and his club performances. While the Portugal episode sparked debate in European media, Al‑Nassr’s supporters appear focused on the on‑pitch impact Ronaldo can still deliver.

Ronaldo’s return was also a reminder of his commercial and sporting value to the franchise, and the vocal backing from the stands suggests that his popularity in Saudi Arabia remains intact. Readers can find related match highlights on this site.
