Gold family agrees to sell West Ham stake to Staveley consortium

The Gold family has agreed to sell its stake in West Ham United to a consortium headed by Amanda Staveley, the former Newcastle co-owner, according to BBC Sport.

Vanessa Gold, daughter of late West Ham co-owner David Gold, confirmed the family's intention to part with its shares, which would open the door to a new investment chapter at the London club.

Staveley, who previously held a stake in Newcastle United before the Saudi-backed takeover in 2021, is now leading a fresh bid to gain a foothold in another Premier League club.

Neither the size of the stake nor the financial terms were disclosed in the initial confirmation. Fans may find related match highlights on this site as the story develops.
