Anthony Gordon drops indirect jab at former Newcastle mates while praising Barcelona squad

Anthony Gordon, who joined Barcelona earlier this season, told reporters that the Catalan side’s players have "already made a big impression" on him, according to Mirror Football. He highlighted the professionalism and the way the squad approaches training and matches.

While speaking about his adaptation, Gordon made an indirect reference to his former teammates at Newcastle United, noting that the atmosphere at Barcelona feels "different" and “more focused on collective growth.” The comment was interpreted by many as a subtle dig at the Newcastle dressing‑room culture he left behind.

Gordon added that the quick integration has helped him settle, and he feels encouraged to push for a regular place in the starting XI. The young Englishman said the experience at the Camp Nou is shaping his development in ways he did not anticipate when he left the Premier League.

Barcelona fans can look forward to more highlights of Gordon’s contributions as the season progresses, and the club’s official channels have already posted several of his recent training clips.
