The GuardianStaveley consortium agrees deal for West Ham stake
A consortium led by Amanda Staveley has reached an agreement to buy the 25.1% stake in West Ham owned by the family of the late former chairman David Gold, according to The Guardian.
Vanessa Gold, David Gold's daughter, has agreed to sell the family's shares in the east London club. The move comes after a previously agreed sale to fellow shareholder and Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky fell through.
Staveley previously helped lead the Saudi consortium that took over Newcastle United. The deal for the West Ham stake is the latest high-profile investment by the businesswoman since her departure from Newcastle.
Neither club nor buyer has officially commented on the reported agreement, and further details of the deal have not been disclosed. Readers can find related match highlights elsewhere on this site.
