BBC SportAfcon final to be decided in court as CAS prepares ruling
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, originally set to be contested between Morocco and Senegal, is now likely to be settled off the pitch, according to BBC Sport.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has been tasked with reviewing the decision to strip Senegal of the title, a move that has sparked debate across the continent.
While the arbitration panel is expected to issue a judgment, officials warn that the process will take time and fans should not anticipate an instant verdict.
Both national federations have been advised to await the final ruling, after which the official champion will be confirmed and any related celebrations can proceed.
