Manchester United are in advanced talks with Eva Olid to become the club's new head coach, according to The Guardian. The former Hearts manager is the chosen successor to Marc Skinner, who left the role on Monday.
Multiple sources have told The Guardian that the 40-year-old could be appointed within the next 36 hours, with negotiations understood to be very close to completion.
Meanwhile, the United squad have paid tribute to Skinner following his departure. The club have yet to confirm the appointment officially, but all signs point to Olid taking over in the coming days.
