Carrick says he still has questions over Man City case

Michael Carrick, appointed as Manchester United manager earlier this season, told reporters that the Premier League’s decision to find Manchester City guilty of breaching financial rules has had a personal impact on him. According to BBC Sport, Carrick explained that the outcome influences the competitive environment in which his side operates.

He added that, despite the ruling, there remain unanswered aspects of the case. Carrick said he still has questions about how the regulations were applied and how they affect clubs across the league.

Carrick did not elaborate on specific details but emphasized that clarity on financial compliance is essential for all clubs, including United. He suggested that greater transparency from the governing body would help maintain a level playing field.

The Premier League’s investigation into Manchester City’s finances concluded with sanctions earlier this year, but the repercussions continue to be discussed among clubs. Readers can find related match highlights on this site.
