Maresca says City unbothered by criticism as Haaland urges unity ahead of Liverpool clash

According to The Guardian, Manchester City will travel to Liverpool for their first league game since the club was found guilty of serious breaches of Premier League financial rules. The verdict has dominated headlines, but both manager Enzo Maresca and forward Erling Haaland say the team is intent on keeping the spotlight on the pitch.

Maresca described his side as "very calm" despite the storm surrounding the club, adding that his players "don’t care about the noise" and will let their performances speak for themselves. The manager highlighted the importance of routine training sessions and a collective focus on the upcoming match.

Haaland echoed the sentiment, calling for unity within the squad and urging teammates to stay together as they face Liverpool. He stressed that the club’s challenges off the field should not distract from their footballing objectives. Fans can find related match highlights on this site.
