The GuardianManagers react to Manchester City’s guilty verdict: ‘Uncertainty is not good for anyone’
Manchester City have been handed a guilty verdict in a disciplinary case, a development that has prompted swift reactions from rival managers, according to The Guardian.
United boss Michael Carrick lamented that the decision robbed his side of the chance to experience “the emotion in the moment” that a decisive result would have brought, suggesting the ruling may alter the upcoming fixture schedule.
Liverpool manager Jorge Iraola said he understands why Liverpool supporters are angry, noting that the verdict adds another layer of frustration to an already tense period for the club and its fans.
Both coaches agreed that the lingering uncertainty surrounding the sanction is “not good for anyone”, urging the governing bodies to provide clarity so clubs can plan ahead and supporters can move forward.
