Liverpool boss Iraola warns Isak and Gakpo doubtful for City clash

Both Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo returned to Anfield ahead of schedule after sustaining injuries while on international duty, according to Mirror Football. Their early repatriation has left the Liverpool squad short‑handed as the Premier League leaders prepare for a crucial showdown with Manchester City.

Manager Andoni Iraola confirmed that the two strikers are doubtful for the upcoming match, stressing that their fitness will be reassessed in the coming days. He added that the club will not rush their recovery and will prioritize a full return to training before any decision is made.

The absence of Isak and Gakpo could force Liverpool to rely on other attacking options, potentially reshaping the tactical approach against a City side that has been in fine form. Fans will be watching closely to see which replacements the manager chooses for the high‑stakes fixture.
