The GuardianInter make new approach to Liverpool for Curtis Jones with £30m offer likely
Inter Milan have made another approach for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones and are prepared to increase their offer to around £30m (€35m), according to The Guardian.
The Italian champions had a €25m bid rejected in June, with Liverpool valuing their homegrown player closer to €40m. Intermediaries representing Inter made fresh contact with Liverpool this week and outlined their willingness to go to €35m for a player who has only one year remaining on his contract at Anfield.
Whether Liverpool accept that sum is doubtful, but a deal for Jones to leave his boyhood club does appear to be edging closer. The 25-year-old has come through the ranks at Liverpool and has been part of the first-team setup for several seasons.
For now, the situation remains fluid, and Liverpool fans can keep an eye on this site for related match highlights while the transfer story develops.
