Maresca says City hierarchy have club’s “complete trust” ahead of Liverpool clash

According to Mirror Football, Enzo Maresca told reporters that the City hierarchy “has the club’s complete trust” in him and his staff, a comment that comes as the team gears up for a high‑stakes Premier League fixture against Liverpool.

The statement follows the Premier League’s decision to find Manchester City guilty of all charges related to alleged breaches of the competition’s financial regulations. The ruling, which includes financial penalties and the possibility of future sanctions, has added extra pressure on the club.

Maresca said the verdict will not distract the squad and that the board’s backing allows the coaching staff to concentrate on the tactical preparation required for the Liverpool game.

Liverpool are also preparing for the encounter, aware that both sides are dealing with off‑field issues but determined to let performance on the pitch decide the outcome. The match will be a key test for Maresca’s side as they aim to maintain their position in the title race.
