The GuardianDjed Spence nears Tottenham exit as Inter hold talks over £25.6m move
Tottenham are prepared to let Djed Spence join Inter Milan, with talks under way over a move worth around €30m (£25.6m), according to The Guardian. The England defender is keen on a switch to the Italian champions.
Spence started four games for England at the World Cup, including the semi-final against Argentina, but he has fallen down the pecking order at Spurs. His situation became more complicated after Andy Robertson arrived from Liverpool, and he is now thought to be seeking regular first-team football.
The same report says Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro are expected to be Roberto De Zerbi's preferred full-backs this season, leaving Spence with limited opportunities. He signed a new four-year contract at the start of last season, but the path to the starting XI appears blocked.
Inter, who have been monitoring Spence, could offer him a fresh start in Serie A. For now, the two clubs are discussing a deal that would bring the defender to Milan.
