SWPL player drain can be a positive, says league chief

The movement of Scottish Women’s Premier League players to England is often framed as a drain, but SWPL managing director Fiona McIntyre says it can still be a positive for the game in Scotland, according to BBC Sport.

McIntyre argued that players who move south gain valuable experience in a professional environment and can later bring that knowledge back to Scottish football. She suggested the trend should be seen as part of the sport’s growth rather than simply a loss.
