The GuardianLucy Bronze backs Uefa boycott stance for 'good of the game'
Lucy Bronze has backed Uefa's threat to boycott all Fifa competitions, saying the move is for the "good of the game" and to safeguard football for future generations.
According to The Guardian, the Chelsea defender was speaking in Auckland before a friendly amid the escalating dispute between European football's governing body and Fifa president Gianni Infantino.
Uefa has doubled down on its position, including a possible boycott of next summer's Women's World Cup, with September's Under-20 Women's World Cup also under threat.
Bronze's comments come after Uefa's stance was linked to the shelved plan for a privately funded Fifa Forward Enterprise scheme.
