Celtic will not offer new deal to midfielder Bakayoko, says BBC Sport

Celtic confirmed they will not be presenting a fresh contract to midfielder Ibrahima Bakayoko, according to BBC Sport. The club said the decision was taken after reviewing the squad's needs for the upcoming season.

Bakayoko, who has spent the last season on loan at Celtic from his parent club, will become a free agent when his current deal expires at the end of June. No details of a potential move have been disclosed.

In a separate development, former Hibernian forward Derek Riordan has urged supporters to show patience as the club settles under its newly appointed manager. Riordan highlighted the need for stability and time to implement the new coach’s ideas.

Both clubs are expected to continue their preparations for the new campaign, with Celtic likely focusing on recruitment to fill midfield gaps, while Hibernian look to build around the new manager’s vision. Readers can find related match highlights on this site.
