BBC SportCoventry sign Brighton goalkeeper Rushworth on permanent deal
Coventry City have confirmed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Carl Rushworth from Brighton & Hove Albion, according to BBC Sport. The 25-year-old previously spent time on loan with the Championship club, and now returns on a full-time basis.
Rushworth came through the academy at Manchester City before moving to Brighton, where he gained experience during spells with several lower-league clubs. His performances during his time at Coventry convinced the club to make the move permanent.
The length of the contract or any transfer fee has not been disclosed by either club. Rushworth is expected to provide competition for the number-one jersey at Coventry as the club prepares for the new season.
