Chelsea sign Valentín Barco from Strasbourg on seven-year deal

Chelsea have signed Argentina international Valentín Barco from sister club Strasbourg on a seven-year deal, according to The Guardian.

The 22-year-old left-back, who can also play in midfield, becomes the seventh arrival of new manager Xabi Alonso’s reign at Stamford Bridge.

Barco previously spent time at Brighton & Hove Albion, making seven appearances for the Seagulls during the 2023-24 season, six of which came in the Premier League, before moving to France.
