The GuardianBalogun to Spurs and Neto to City among latest Premier League transfer rumours
The Guardian's latest transfer gossip column, billed as today's fluff riding a unicycle, leads with a potentially contentious move: Monaco striker Folarin Balogun has been linked with Tottenham. The USA international began his career at Arsenal, making a switch to Spurs particularly eye-catching. According to the report, Balogun's agents have offered him to Roberto De Zerbi's side as they look for a goalscorer following a difficult season.
Monaco and Balogun have had a quiet summer, but Spurs are said to be in need of attacking reinforcement. De Zerbi is also credited with an interest in Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson, though no bid has been made for the Senegal forward.
Elsewhere, Manchester City feature in the rumour mill. If Savinho heads south, as has long been speculated, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca would like Pedro Neto to replace him on the wing, having previously worked with the Portugal international at Stamford Bridge.
There is also movement in the Spurs wide department: Manor Solomon was reportedly close to joining West Ham, but Hull City have now entered the race as part of an accelerated recruitment drive. Related match highlights from these clubs can be found throughout this site.
