Arsenal v Leeds: Premier League – live updates

Kick‑off for the Arsenal‑Leeds clash is set for 12.30 pm BST at the Emirates Stadium, with live scores and match commentary expected throughout the afternoon, according to The Guardian.

Among the talking points ahead of the game is an email from a reader, Mark Kerry, who wonders whether Artarta’s decision to start Kai Havertz as a centre‑forward is justified. Kerry points to the German’s modest goal‑scoring record in recent seasons and suggests that forward Rasmus Gyokeres, who has shown finishing ability both in the Premier League last season and on the international stage, might be a more natural goal‑scorer for Arsenal.

While the email reflects a common debate among supporters, some pundits argue that Gyokeres may not yet meet the technical and tactical demands of Arsenal’s style of play, noting his reliance on space behind the defence and limited hold‑up abilities.

The match will provide a direct test of Arteta’s selection, and viewers can follow the live action and highlights on this site as the two sides compete for three points.
