Ronaldo pays tribute to Messi after Argentina's final game

According to Mirror Football, the Portuguese star used his social media platform to acknowledge Lionel Messi’s decision to end his Argentina career, describing the Argentine’s achievements as "extraordinary" and wishing him well in his next chapter.

Ronaldo, who has shared the global spotlight with Messi for more than a decade, said the two players have pushed each other to greater heights and that he respects Messi’s contributions to the sport. The message was brief but clearly aimed at celebrating the Argentine’s legacy rather than rekindling any competitive narrative.

Fans of both icons have responded positively to the gesture, noting that such mutual respect underscores the unique rivalry that has defined modern football. The tribute adds a dignified footnote to what has been a historic era for both players.
